Career Opportunity
The Shire of Broome seeks an experienced and motivated person with relevant managerial, operational and Local Government experience. This position will oversee all Environmental Health and related operations.
As the Manager Health Services, your duties will include:
• Lead an Environmental Health Team and Community Facilities Team.
• Manage the Health Services correspondence, including analysis and assignment to officers and instruct Environmental Health Staff in the statutory aspects.
• Prepare the Health Service operating budget.
• Assist with the production of directorate strategic processes as required.
• Identify Strategic and Statutory Health issues which affect the Shire and undertake and manage appropriate investigations, preparation and implementation of policies and studies.
• Represent Council on external committees.
• Undertake special projects within skill base and qualifications.
